Yeah, so I’m terrible at introductions whether it be at dinner, or a new classroom, or giving a presentation. Turns…
I highly recommend Woodsbound by Miriam Khan as 3 out of 4 stars. The writing is sound, the editing is solid, the dialog is believable, and the plotline is excellent. I found it a little too predictable a little over half way through and my attention ebbed for a bit, but then the action picks up, …
I urge you to read The Glamour Years of Flying as a Stewardess by Heddy Frosell DaPonte. This first person account of a young woman who became a PanAm stewardess is mesmerizing. I happily give it full stars!
This book brings humor to the pharmacy! I unequivocally rate Let Sleeping Pharmacists Lie: tales from pharmacy school and the patients you just don’t forget by Janelle Soong as 5 out of 5 stars. I find this book to be appropriate for all adults and interested young adults.
I urge you to check out this festival! It is a fantastic way to try out all sorts of styles and a variety of workshops while supporting Rama Wes an Kyla Sita in their dream of supporting the community through Vermont Be True Yoga. Even virtually there is a full line-up of activities to explore.
Bernice Takes A Plunge by Ann Hath is a 5 out of 5 stars, fun, YA detective novel. At least, the main character is a detective-in-training. I can imagine many late elementary and early middle schoolers empathizing with Bernice, and maybe even mimicking her with her notebook on the playground.
Did you succeed at your June goals?
I did fairly well. July has some lofty goals with actual steps, too.
I rate How to Beat Your Insurance Company by Jeff Arnold as 5 stars. While most people might not think…
I rate No One Else by M K Tracy as 5 stars. I really enjoyed the story. This is a romance story intertwined with an adult “coming of age” story. I was told once that women really shine once they hit forty, by then they have figured out what they want and take no crap from anyone. This character is a little ahead of her time, but she surely comes into herself.
School is over, now what? Our short and long term goals for the summer.
Book review of Secret Harbor, much like a modern day Catcher In The Rye.
