Book Review of Perception and Deception III

Perception and Deception by Andre Hintz immediately drew me in with strong character development and a strong storyline. There were little bits along that way that added bright spots of enjoyment, like the mention of Vermont (where I live and not a common setting) that aren’t imperative to the story, but little extra treats.

Last minute solutions for those hard-to-shop-for gift ideas

OK, so some of us are last minute shoppers for those hard-to-shop-for people. This year it’s even more challenging as we must be socially distant. Here is my solution: subscription boxes!
We can’t be together for the holidays, but why not a gift they keep receiving each month, or every other month, or maybe just once. Order these now, and the wrapping and shipping is even done for you!

Preparing for the 2020 Holiday Season

It’s not every year that we suffer a pandemic, and had we known back in the spring how the year would pan out, I would have planned some things differently. Instead, I am content at how well my family is weathering the storm.

Book Review of Emotional Intelligence

I really like how the author lays out different examples to show how we may react with different levels of emotional intelligence and various skills. Readers can either identify themselves in these quick examples, or think about others in these scenarios. The imagery of these examples is vivid allowing the reader to instantly picture the scene, but short and not drawn out or scolding.

Book Review of Magic Exists

I just read Magic Exists by Kim Booth. I was lucky enough to actually have time to just sit and read this book in one day, but it has a strong storyline and could have been read in bits and pieces in stolen moments of time over a longer course of time. I absolutely recommend this book to a wide YA audience!
