Kindle Vella Review of Fogpoint Harbor: The Inheritance
by Jennifer Lush
I’ve been reading this Kindle Vella series off and on for a while now. I read a few, then take a break, and come back a while later to find it in my list and read a few more episodes. At about a dime each, it’s easy to read a few episodes at a time. Today though, I hade the time and the tokens and binged through to the end.
Ms. Lush does a fantastic job with this series in developing the characters. The setting doesn’t have tons of detail, but more than enough in each scene for it to be vivid, especially as we can not only “see” the scene but “feel” it too through the main character’s point of view.
As a reader we empathize immediately with the characters, especially the discomfort when being stared at with interest in a small town deli or applying for a job we don’t feel qualified for.
There’s plenty that we don’t understand though, like the journal that grabs our attention and just won’t let go.
As always, you can try the first three episodes of any Kindle Vella for free, so give Fogpoint Harbor a try!
