Week Long Eco-Friendly Mindset Challenge: Day 4

We already started this challenge and you can go back to this post to catch up, or just jump in now. I think we all know little ways that we can be more eco-friendly. And many of us, choose little ways for ease or laziness that are not environmentally friendly too. I know I’m a mix of both. So here’s a challenge for you: Let’s take 7 days and think about our choices. Each day I’ll give a short prompt with my thoughts and I would love your comments back. Easy-peasy, right?

Day 4 Clutter. Yes, removing clutter will help save the earth.

Choose one area that you can declutter. First, it will probably ease some anxiety you may not have even been aware of, just to have more clear space.

If possible, find a way to donate whatever it is that you are removing. Perhaps it can be donated to a thrift store, maybe you can regift it. We have been decluttering our closets, and I found two local schools will take our extra clothes for students who need help with their wardrobes. I prefer this to donating it to a thrift store. Yes teh families could buy those jeans for $1-2, but this way the kiddo receives them free and can spend those few dollars on something else.

And, now you don’t have to clean those items that were cluttering the space, saving you time and cleanser!
