We already started this challenge and you can go back to this post to catch up, or just jump in now. I think we all know little ways that we can be more eco-friendly. And many of us, choose little ways for ease or laziness that are not environmentally friendly too. I know I’m a mix of both. So here’s a challenge for you: Let’s take 7 days and think about our choices. Each day I’ll give a short prompt with my thoughts and I would love your comments back. Easy-peasy, right?
Day 7 Use more cold water. I refuse to give up my hot showers, although I try to be mindful of how long I relish the hot water. I also prefer to wash my dishes in hot water to help dissolve the grease, but what other tasks can be accomplished with cold water? Think about your daily choices. Could you brush your teeth with cold water instead of hot? Can you use a cooler temperature to wash your face? Laundry can often be done in cold water, instead of hot or warm. Will cold water work just as well to mop your floors? Colder water (or room temperature) requires less energy to heat the water, meaning it is more eco-friendly. What can you do to use less hot water?
What a great initiative! I find that I feel much mite fresher and awake when I wash my face with cold water instead of hot 😊
Hmmmm, I shall have to test this out. Thanks for the tip!
You’re most welcome 😊😊✨
